My top new albums of 2011.

The other day, I saw someone post this post except with only Peoples and Things for every single album cover. I reblogged and agreed that that album completely surpassed every favorite I had from this year and pretty much pushed them all out of existence for a while. I got to thinking about how many of my favorite bands put out new albums this year and wanted to make my own post, so here it is.

These are the new albums I’ve listened to most this year. It starts out with my favorites and then towards the middle and end everything else is pretty much tied.

1. People and Things - Jack’s Mannequin

* This album is yet another beautiful masterpiece from Andrew Mcmahon..and Is my obvious first choice.

Favorites: Actual CD: Platform Fire, Amy I, People Running, Television.  THE. BEST. BUY. BONUS. TRACKS. Out Of It, Keep Rising, Locked Doors. <33<33

^Naming favorites of this is a joke, I seriously almost wrote down every song.

2. Femme Fatale - Britney Spears

* My main bitch does it again, I will forever love her always. No need to explain.
Favorites:  Trip To Your Heart, I Wanna Go, (Drop Dead) Beautiful, Hold It Against Me

3. Moment Bends- Architecture In Helsinki

* Found out about this band this year and have been pretty obsessed ever since, instant happiness every time they come up on my shuffle. This album along with all of their others are fabulous. UGH. SO GOOD.

Favorites: Escapee, Contact High, W.O.W., seriously though, like every song. There isn’t one I don’t absolutely adore.

4. All Things Bright and Beautiful - Owl City

* Oh, Adam Young. ♥ With the exception of the monstrosity that is the rap version of Aligator Sky w/ Christopher Shawn this album is amazing and adorable.

Favorites: The Real World, The Yacht Club, Deer In The Headlights

5. Codes and Keys- Death Cab for Cutie

Death Cab always puts me in a very relaxing mood and this album isn’t any different. So many really good songs on this album.

Favorites: Portable Television, You Are A Tourist

6. Neighborhoods - Blink 182

Ohh the nostalgia that instantly comes everytime I listen to this cd. It brings me back to the Blink days better than I could ever imagine. :’) Its seriously great.

Favorites:  After Midnight, This Is Home, Kaleidoscope, Up All Night

7. When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes - Yellowcard

This album reminded me of how much I fucking love Yellowcard and slapped me in the face for forgetting about them for a while. <3 Idk what I was thinking, but yea.. It won’t happen again.

Favorites: For You And Your Denial, With You Around, Sing For Me

8. Get Nice!- Zebrahead

Ahhh Zebrahead. I was so excited when I heard this album was coming out and I was super stoked. They get me so pumped up and this album didn’t disappoint. It forever bums me out how I don’t know anyone else who likes them. </3 D:

Favorites: Light Up The Sky, Demon Days, Get Nice!, Nothing To Lose

9. Born This Way - Lady Gaga

Not really a fan of her personally, but I actually do enjoy this album. All the theatric and just plain fun is hard to hate.
Favorites: Bad Kids, Edge Of Glory, Hair, Marry The Night, Scheiße

10. Shake This Feeling - A Sound Aside

This one, everyone is probably like wtf? BUTTTT I have listened to this album alooot the last couple months and I’m surprised I made room for it since it came out after People and Things. It was one of the first things I listened to after. They are a smaller band that I’ve seen twice as openers and idk what it is but I reeally really like them. I’m excited to see them again this Friday.:)

Favorites: Summertime, After All, Better Broken Down, ….okay I’m having a hard time not listing like all the rest.. so that’ll do.

THE END.

I saw 8/10 of these artists live this year, and some of them multiple times. This year was definitely a year of music for me. I’ve never been to so many concerts and listened to so much music as I have this year. and this list isn’t even the half of it. My netflix seriously wasn’t even used for months..Da fuck?

Yes I know my music taste is kinda random, but trust me If only you saw what was on my actual Ipod and not my phone.. haha.
